Quick and Easy Air Fryer Salmon

If you want a healthy dinner that comes together fast, this air fryer salmon is a perfect choice. It turns out crisp on the outside, tender and flaky inside, and full of protein and omega 3s. I usually make two fillets at a time, but you can easily cook more in batches. Wild caught Alaskan salmon is my favorite for its quality and sustainability, but cod is a nice option if you prefer a milder flavor.

All you need are simple pantry spices such as garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. For a little extra flavor, try smoked paprika or Cajun seasoning. Cooking time depends on the thickness of the fish. A one inch fillet takes about seven minutes, thicker ones may need up to nine, and bite size pieces take about five.
This is one of the easiest and healthiest meals you can make, ready to serve in less than fifteen minutes with almost no cleanup.
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • Olive or avocado oil spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Lemon wedges

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.

Place pieces of salmon side-by-side on a sheet of foil or parchment paper that will fit inside the air fryer basket, skin side down.

Using a paper towel, pat the salmon dry. Spray with oil spray. Then, sprinkle with the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Place the salmon on foil or parchment paper in the preheated air fryer. Air fry salmon until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, 7 to 9 minutes. There’s no need to flip the salmon over.

Squeeze lemon juice over salmon and serve.

Store leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
